Community Development
IQ believes strong communities are built on trust, storytelling, and shared purpose. Through arts-based programming, we create spaces where people come together—across age, culture, and circumstance—to connect, reflect, and collaborate. Whether it’s a mural project, a coalition meeting, or a community arts workshop, we uses creativity as a bridge to bring people into deeper relationship with one another and their neighborhoods. Our community development work focuses on building networks, cultivating leadership, and fostering environments where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to lead change.
What the 411?
Neighborhood Development
IQ believes public space is sacred. Our neighborhood development work uses the arts to activate streets, parks, and gathering spaces in ways that foster connection, creativity, and community pride. We support open streets initiatives, community events, mural installations, and placemaking projects that bring people together in vibrant and visible ways. Every project is rooted in listening, co-creation, and honoring the voices of those who live in the neighborhood. From local artists to city partners, we work across sectors to build public spaces that reflect the beauty, complexity, and resilience of the communities we serve.
