Storytelling, Media & Graphic Design
Art for Social Change
Art is at the forefront of change. The process begins when we imagine a new world—one devoid of stigma and inequality. Artistic creativity is one of the most influential, yet often overlooked, methods of problem solving. When lived experience alone isn’t enough to change hearts or policies, art and popular culture have the power to shift minds on a deeper, more human level. At Isaac’s Quarterly, we position art as a vital tool for systems intervention—not only within the criminal legal system, but also in healthcare, education, housing, and public safety. Whether it’s informing alternatives to incarceration or guiding trauma-informed policy, we center humanity through creative strategy. By integrating arts into prevention, pre-trial, reentry, youth engagement, and community safety, we help organizations and institutions move toward restoration—not punishment. Art, for us, isn’t a side feature—it’s a way forward.

Combatting Dehumanization through Popular Media
Media shapes minds. For individuals impacted by the criminal legal system, the stakes are especially high. Television, film, and other popular forms of media routinely dehumanize people who are incarcerated—reducing them to stereotypes, criminal tropes, or threats to society. These portrayals reinforce punitive public attitudes, justify abusive prison conditions, and hinder successful reentry and rehabilitation. At Isaac’s Quarterly, we challenge these misrepresentations through storytelling, design, and participatory action research. Our work pushes back against the subconscious beliefs that media implants, by offering counter-narratives rooted in humanity, truth, and lived experience. We know that systems don’t change without cultural change—so we use media to reframe public perception and shift the collective consciousness toward justice, restoration, and dignity for all.
Strategic Arts Engagement for Community Enhancement
At Isaac’s Quarterly, we believe in the power of arts to build safer, more sustainable communities—especially among Black and Indigenous people of color who have historically been denied access to resources. Our approach centers artistic literacy, professional development, and capacity building as essential tools for both personal transformation and systemic change. We provide free and consistent access to creative training for justice-involved individuals, community advocates, and emerging entrepreneurs—helping them navigate reentry, reduce recidivism, and strengthen social and financial sustainability. Through trauma-informed curricula, public safety interventions, and culturally grounded programming, we address deep-rooted inequalities and promote collective healing. Whether we’re supporting a returning citizen, a young creative leader, or a grassroots organizer, we invest in the people and micro-communities who are already shaping the future. Through our network-building efforts, including the Arts Justice Safety Coalition, we’re helping artists and advocates grow their social capital, connect across sectors, and become powerful agents of change.

Community Enhancement through Family Wellness
At the heart of strong communities are strong families. Isaac’s Quarterly invests in intergenerational healing, faith-driven growth, and holistic support for families navigating the realities of life in historically underserved communities. Through workshops, consulting, and grassroots engagement, we offer trauma-informed strategies that nurture mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Grounded in lived experience, faith, and cultural care, we work with parents, youth, caregivers, and community leaders to strengthen bonds, restore hope, and build purposeful lives. Our work in family wellness acknowledges the power of partnership—especially in Black and Brown households—and uplifts the roles of parents, faith leaders, and educators as anchors in the journey toward collective well-being.
Culture, Faith & Community Revitalization
We also offer faith-based and culturally grounded consulting for individuals and organizations who want to use their gifts to restore, uplift, and lead. Whether you're developing a youth ministry, launching a family healing initiative, or reimagining what church can look like in your neighborhood—we help you move with intention. Our work supports spiritual leaders, faith-based nonprofits, and community builders in designing programs that meet people where they are. We believe faith is not just personal—it’s communal, creative, and deeply connected to culture. Through ministry coaching, personal development planning, and arts-based discipleship, we help you build something rooted in your calling and designed for impact.
